Why Choose Us?

ABOUT BARBED REPTILES, LLC-

A few years ago we started out as a simple family in South Texas, with a son who wanted a Bearded Dragon for Christmas. Not too long after one dragon turned into 20 plus Bearded Dragons, and a passion found along the way.

Discovering my love for these amazing creatures, learning every bit I could about them, and eventually getting to the status of breeder.

After my first pet dragon wound up being disabled I wanted nothing more than to produced genetically strong, healthy bearded dragons so that other families had the option to chose a small business like myself and feel safe knowing the pet they choose from my business, was bred ethically with knowledge, love, and all my heart into the health of these wonderful reptiles!

TERMS AND POLICIES

Before purchasing a dragon you must read these terms and policies. It you have purchased a dragon you have agreed to these terms and policies. Not reading this page does not exempt you from abiding by all terms and policies outlined herein.

LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE:

The dragon is guaranteed to arrive alive. The dragon is not guaranteed to arrive "on time". Carriers may not deliver at a specific time and do not give guarantees for timed deliveries. There is no required signature for delivery if the dragon is being delivered to your home. You must wait for the dragon and retrieve it from the delivery person's hands. If you are picking your dragon up at the hub you must open the box at the hub to verify the welfare of the dragon. If the dragon arrives deceased, and this is EXTREMELY rare, you must take a picture and notify me within 15 minutes of the delivery verification on my carrier's shipping portal. If I am notified later than 15 minutes I will understand you left the dragon on the doorstep, or in your car and the dragon expired due to negligence.

SEVEN DAY HEALTH GUARANTEE:

You have 7 days including the delivery day to notify me if there is something wrong with the dragon or if he is ill. This is very uncommon, but with live animals things can happen. The Enclosure Set Up and Feeding Schedule must be strictly adhered to during this time and NO ADVICE TAKEN FROM THE INTERNET OR OTHERS must be sought after or taken. I will review the information/ situation and a refund of the purchase price will be given if the situation warrants it. Parasites: all dragons have parasites, some parasites are species specific to your dragon. Shipping can cause stress which could trigger a parasitic imbalance. This is typical and normal. There is no refund for dragons that you or your vet determines to have a parasite load.. they live in your dragon

SHIPPING PROCEDURES:

Our normal shipping days are Tuesday & Wednesday, we choose a day that works best for us as the hub is one hour away, we ship out one day a week. You will be notified of the next shipping day after you purchase your dragon. If the weather is what we consider too hot or too cold to ship, we will watch the temperatures and contact you when it is safe to ship again. Dragons are sent to your nearest UPS or Fedex shipping hub for you to pick

WHEN YOUR DRAGON ARRIVES:

The dragon may be stressed and he may be dark in color when he arrives (he just made 2 connections on a plane and had one or two truck rides). This is normal and typical.

He may not eat for several days as he acclimates to his new cage. We do not have glass cages here and we do not put hides in the enclosures, the enclosures are PVC and they can't see through them. If you have a glass tank and the dragon is stressed, you can cover the walls of the tank with a vinyl wallpaper. Your dragon will have a period of adjustment. Handle the dragon sparingly at this time, let him settle in before taking him out of the cage and playing with him. If the dragon is having a hard time settling in, please contact me. I am not responsible for animal temperament. Each animal is unique/individual and will all have their own personality/ quirks. As I am not there to witness all happening in the household, I can not be held responsible for the way each animal responds to their surroundings. I will work with you for as long as it takes to get the enclosure and his space perfect so that he thrives.
